During your initial new patient exam, we take a full mouth series of intra-oral photos, allowing us to thoroughly examine and monitor your oral health. Our team is trained to look for any signs of oral cancer, including:
- Discolored tissue
- Lesions
- Lumps
- Abnormalities
If any concerning areas are found, further action may be required. Depending on the tissue characteristics, we may recommend a biopsy to send to a laboratory for analysis. In some cases, a referral to an Oral Pathologist may be necessary to diagnose and manage the abnormal tissue properly.
